Arts in the Transit is a series of eight concerts, one a month, held on the second Friday from October to May. Four are jazz, blues or pop. The other four are ethnic, bluegrass, folk or country. Partially funded by the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts and the Samuel Justus Charitable Trust.


The 2006-2007 Arts in the Transit series of nine concerts will begin on Friday September 8, 2006 through May in the Great Room of the Venango Center For The Arts in the Transit Building in Oil City at 8:00 P.M. The nine concerts are a mix of jazz, blues, pop, bluegrass and folk music.

The concerts will begin at 8 P.M. Pre-concert tickets may be purchased for $10.00 in The Transit Fine Art Gallery. Tickets at the door are $12. For reservations and more information, call either 676-1509 or 678-3017. A season ticket for all nine concerts is priced at $55.00 and a ticket for any four of the concerts is $30.00.
